The BIGGEST secret to tapping into your creative self?

Maybe you’ve made up your mind that you’re not at all creative. Can’t even draw a stick figure.

I hear you. Those were my sentiments years ago. I wrote myself off as “definitely not creative” after trying to draw a teapot. It was hideous and I shoved it onto a closet shelf. Way in the back.

Over the years as I’ve talked to women like you (myself included) and found that there’s a deeply held wish to be more creative, but we keep it a secret. Because we don’t believe we are.

Before I was married, I dated three artists because I secretly wanted to be the one who was creative. After the 3rd one, I finally realized, “OH! I’m the one who wants to be a creative!”  It was a light-bulb moment.

The BIGGEST secret to being a creative person is making a decision to cultivate it. And then doing that. On the regular. That’s it. It’s not that some are born with it and others aren’t. Every human being is an extension of Life. And Life Force is creative. Period. We just have to decide to engage. Why is that important you might wonder?

Because, your Creative Life Force is the same thing as The Source of Life, as Qi, as Nature, as Spirit, as Love. And giving yourself a place to BE with this part of yourself is a BIG deal…

  • It helps you cultivate a relationship with your Higher Self.
  • It builds flexibility into your way of being
  • Helps you work through emotions and hard stuff
  • It teaches your how to open your heart
  • And calm your worried mind
  • It give you access to solutions to your problems
  • Cultivates intention and focus
  • And…it’s one the BEST stress relievers!

Heck, this creativity thing gives you the same benefits as meditation. The same! All based in research. I’ve gathered lots of that over the years 🙂

It doesn’t matter what you do, but it’s important to do something. Many women (myself included) have discovered that playing in a sketchbook is a very safe and enjoyable way to build this muscle. It’s private and personal to you and no one else. So it doesn’t matter how it looks, what matters is that energy moves when you engage. And move it does. It heals and transforms beautifully. Unlike anything I’ve experienced and as a healer, I’ve tried lots.

You can do it on your own, or consider becoming a part of Sketchbook Studio by Learning More Here

It’s always enjoyable to take a journey like this with a fun friend(s) so feel free to invite her along.

See You in the Studio,
